Express News | Ledger confirms unauthorized hardware implants in some hardware wallets

On October 11, Bitcoin News posted on the X platform stating that Ledger confirmed at least one affected user's device contained unauthorized hardware implants and is currently investigating the matter with relevant authorities and SEAL_911. Hardware wallet distributor CryptoBilis has suspended sales of all hardware wallets. Ledger stated that there are currently no indications that its internal security infrastructure, systems, or services have been compromised. Ledger advises users who purchased devices from CryptoBilis and have not yet completed setup to refrain from setting them up; users who have already completed setup should consider using a newly generated seed phrase to transfer their Bitcoin to a new hardware wallet, and indicated that additional tamper-proof protection measures are under development.
