Express News | A cryptocurrency holder is suspected of having their private key compromised, resulting in the theft of approximately $25 million. The same entity previously lost $24 million in a phishing attack in 2023.
On August 13, monitoring data from Scam Sniffer indicated that a cryptocurrency holder likely suffered a private key leak, leading to the draining of two wallets within just 15 minutes and a loss of approximately $25 million. Two addresses belonging to the same victim transferred all assets—including DAI, WBTC, aUSDC, LDO, sUSDe, and native ETH—to a new address. Within an hour, the stolen funds were swapped for DAI and ETH: 20 million DAI were transferred to another address, while approximately 3,000 ETH remained in the consolidation address. This incident is suspected to be a private key compromise rather than a standard phishing authorization scam. Notably, this victim's address is the same wallet that lost 4,851 rETH and 9,579 stETH (worth approximately $24 million) in September 2023 after signing a malicious 'increase Allowance' transaction. At that time, the attacker ultimately returned about 90% of the stolen funds.

Express News | SlowMist: Drips Network Loses Approximately 24,900 DAI Due to Integer Conversion Vulnerability
On July 5, according to SlowMist monitoring, the decentralized tipping protocol Drips Network was exploited, resulting in a loss of approximately 24,900 DAI. SlowMist analysis indicates that the root cause of this attack lies in an integer type conversion flaw within the give(address,uint128) function of the DaiDripsHub contract. This function converts a uint128-type amount into an int128-type without verifying whether the input exceeds the maximum value of int128. By supplying a specific value exceeding the int128 range, the attacker caused the converted amount to become negative, thereby reversing the transfer direction. As a result, the reserve contract executed an abnormal withdrawal to the attacker's account, ultimately depleting the reserve funds.

The project initially attracted investors through a multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme, was later alleged to be a Ponzi scheme, and subsequently pivoted to business models such as cloud rendering after halting redemptions. Specter noted that the address was first flagged on June 15, but further tracking and analysis were only recently completed. Specter also provided several related addresses for verification. This large-scale asset reallocation has drawn market attention to potential historical fund flows and liquidation motives.
