Express News | The proportion of staked Ethereum has risen to a record high of 34.7%, while the staking yield has slightly declined to 2.6%.
On August 13, data from Staking Rewards showed that the proportion of staked Ethereum reached a new all-time high, with approximately 41.89 million ETH currently staked, accounting for 34.7% of Ethereum's total supply. The corresponding market value of staked assets is approximately $78.56 billion. The current staking yield stands at around 2.6%, having recently decreased by 0.49 percentage points, with roughly 789,000 active validators on the network. The staking ratio has continued to climb in recent periods, rising by about 0.77%, while the network inflation rate has dropped to approximately 0.86%. An increasing amount of ETH is being locked into the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, concurrently tightening the circulating supply. Staking rewards for ETH primarily derive from consensus layer issuances, priority fees, and Maximal Extractable Value (MEV); however, as the total staked volume increases, the yield per validator is diluted.
