Injective officially stated that no attack occurred during the network upgrade, and that INJ assets and user funds remain secure. The decline in staking volume was attributed to delays in validator upgrades.
Express News | Upbit has designated Injective (INJ) as a "Trading Caution" asset.
On September 1, Upbit officially announced that Injective (INJ) had been designated as a "Trading Caution" asset. Currently, deposit and withdrawal services for Injective (INJ) have been suspended. Upon resumption of services, withdrawals will be enabled first. Previous reports indicated that Injective experienced a block production halt lasting approximately 3 hours and 42 minutes on August 31. The block height recovered from 181,027,006 to 181,027,007, with no chain reorganization occurring during this period. Status records from QuickNode also confirmed a network-wide block stall on the Injective mainnet that day, prompting the deployment of an emergency patch. The attacker is suspected of repeatedly exploiting Injective's insurance fund and its permissionless binary options market creation mechanism, executing 299 related transactions in total. Ultimately, proceeds totaling approximately 1,979.8 ETH, valued at around $4.88 million, were consolidated into a single address.
