As of market close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.43%, the Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.94%, the ChiNext Price Index rose 2.05%, and the STAR 50 Index surged 3.84%. Total market turnover amounted to RMB 3.3317 trillion, an increase of RMB 217.7 billion from the previous trading day. Nearly 3,400 individual stocks declined across the market.
