As of the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.05%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.65%, the ChiNext Price Index gained 1.41%, the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index declined 0.1%, and the STAR 50 Index increased 0.16%. Total market turnover amounted to RMB 1.5286 trillion, down RMB 216.6 billion from the previous trading day, with more than 3,100 stocks declining across the market.
