As of market close, the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.4%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.31%, the ChiNext Price Index climbed 1.56%, the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index advanced 0.27%, and the STAR Market 50 Index surged 4.69%. Total market turnover amounted to RMB 3.114 trillion, an increase of RMB 27.7 billion from the previous trading day. More than 3,700 stocks declined across the market.
