Amazon raises the minimum wage in German warehouses to 12 euros per hour
In the face of a long struggle among top unions, Amazon said on Friday that it would guarantee a minimum wage of 12 euros ($15) an hour at its warehouse in Germany. Germany is Amazon's largest market after the United States, and Verdi has been organizing Amazon strikes in Germany since 2013 to protest Amazon's low wages and poor working conditions.
