The current AI boom is not fundamentally a technology cycle, but rather a credit and real estate cycle driven by the concept of "compute as collateral" (CCO). NVIDIA and private sector giants have established a $500 billion financing platform to securitize and distribute risk. Given that the inflection point in the growth rate of capital expenditure (second derivative) among hyperscale cloud providers has already emerged, and key borrowers such as OpenAI are overly reliant on refinancing, this credit architecture—highly isomorphic to the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis—is highly susceptible to fracturing amid slowing growth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%, the S&P 500 Index declined 0.17%, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.28%. Most large-cap technology stocks retreated, with the Mag 7 Index down 0.17% and Amazon falling nearly 1%. SpaceX shares also dipped by close to 1%. In contrast, memory chip stocks broadly rose against the trend: SanDisk surged 7.39%, bringing its weekly gain to 35.38%; AMD advanced 6.50%; and NEBIUS climbed 8.88%. Meanwhile, Applied Materials and Broadcom each fell more than 5%.
