On Wednesday, Moderna and its partner Merck & Co. announced research findings confirming that their jointly developed personalized mRNA cancer vaccine, intismeran autogene, in combination with pembrolizumab, significantly reduced the risk of postoperative recurrence in melanoma patients and effectively inhibited tumor metastasis to distant organs, compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy as the standard immunotherapy.
