The company also plans to accelerate the expansion of at least 20 satellite stores, using Shanghai as its core hub to establish a complementary ecosystem of flagship stores, standard stores, and satellite stores. According to the announcement, satellite stores require lighter initial investment compared to standard large-format outlets. Popeyes’ first satellite store is 20%–30% smaller in area than its standard store format.
