After a long holiday, the Hong Kong stock market has not changed its upward momentum in the Hang Seng Index, driven by news of US-China trade negotiations, coupled with a series of policies announced by the mainland this week to stabilize economic performance. The index once peaked at 23,197 points. In technical analysis, the index has completely filled the large downward gap left on April 7.

However, it should be noted that filling the gap does not mean the problem has disappeared. In the weekend's US-China trade negotiations, it is believed that no concrete trade agreement will be reached, unlike what happened between the USA and United Kingdom. But as long as negotiations continue without deteriorating relations, there is no need to worry too much about market performance. The short-term judgment position for the Hang Seng Index will pay attention to the 50-day moving average around 22,800; if it stabilizes, it is expected to continue improving in the short term.
Currently, stocks that are sensitive to US-China relations are still relatively lagging, with the short-term speculation focus on domestic Consumer or Autos stocks.
It is advisable to pay attention to those with strong fundamentals, which may look forward to the first quarter's performance. For example $ANTA SPORTS(02020.HK)$ $HAIDILAO(06862.HK)$ $GEELY AUTO(00175.HK)$ $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK)$ $XPENG-W(09868.HK)$

As for the US stock market, there are also signs of a gradual stabilization, but the S&P 500 Index needs to rise above the previous double-top neckline of 5773 points to confirm a formal trend reversal. The focus on the US stock market is on earnings.

However, similar to the case of PLTR, where strong earnings have led to significant prior price increases, there may also be short-term pressure, so it’s important to distinguish between medium-term and short-term deployment strategies. It might be useful to use the new PC version of options -> earnings analysis feature as a reference. One should not simply determine based on the short-term rises and falls following the earnings.

Finally, Cryptos have also been performing well recently with increasing market risk appetite. Earlier, it was mentioned in the article that BTC could benefit from the expectation of dollarization. In the short term, pay attention to the price which has rebounded above the 0.618 level after previously declining, further confirming the trend reversal. The short-term support level for BTC is around 98000. As for ETH, which had previously seen a significant drop, it has shown stronger rebound momentum recently, but participating investors need to rely more on technical analysis for judgment, as the price has been frequently experiencing large fluctuations lately.
