The company was founded exclusively by Panda Electronics Group Co., Ltd., known as the cradle of China's electronics industry, in April 1992, and is a key enterprise in China's electronics industry. In May and November 1996, the company was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange respectively, making it the first A+H share listed company in China's electronic information industry.
