In the United Kingdom, CKI has a comprehensive portfolio in natural gas and electricity distribution, water and wastewater services, power generation, and railway transport infrastructure. This includes Northern Gas Networks, a natural gas distributor serving northern England; Wales & West Utilities, a natural gas distributor serving Wales and southwest England; UK Power Networks, one of the largest distribution companies in the UK, supplying power to London, southeast England, and eastern England; Seabank Power, a power generation company based in Bristol; Northumbrian Water, a water supply, sewage treatment, and wastewater disposal company serving northeast England and southeast England; and UK Rails, a railway operator in the UK. In Germany, CKI has taken an interest in ista, a globally leading provider of integrated energy management services. ista’s core business in Europe spans more than 20 countries and regions. It enjoys a strong market position in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and France. In the Netherlands, CKI has shown interest in Dutch Enviro Energy, the Netherlands’ largest waste-to-energy company. The company operates two waste treatment plants: Rozenburg, located in the Port of Rotterdam area, and Duiven, near the German border. CKI is one of Australia’s largest overseas infrastructure investors. It has invested in power and natural gas distribution, natural gas transmission pipelines, power generation, and renewable energy generation businesses in Australia. CKI is interested in SA Power Networks, the primary distribution business in South Australia; CitiPower, a company supplying power to Melbourne’s CBD and inner suburbs; Powercor, Victoria’s largest electricity distributor; United Energy, a company providing power in Victoria; Australian Energy Operations, a renewable energy transmission enterprise in Victoria; Australian Gas Network Ltd., one of Australia’s largest natural gas distributors; Multinet Gas, a natural gas distributor in Victoria; Dampier Bunbury Pipeline, a gas pipeline connecting the Carnarvon/Browse Basin and Perth; and Energy Developments, an international provider of safe, clean, low-greenhouse-gas-emission energy and remote energy solutions. In New Zealand, CKI holds shares in Wellington Electricity, a distribution company that supplies power to the capital city of Wellington, Porirua, and the Hutt Valley region. CKI also owns EnviroNZ, a diversified, vertically integrated waste management company operating nationwide. In Canada, CKI holds shares in Canadian Power Corporation, which has interests in five power plants across Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. CKI is also interested in Park'N Fly, Canada’s largest off-airport parking company, and Reliance Home Comfort, one of the largest providers of construction equipment services. Additionally, CKI holds an interest in Husky Midstream Limited Partnership, which includes oil pipelines, storage facilities, and ancillary assets. In Mainland China, CKI has invested in a portfolio of toll roads and bridges totaling approximately 260 kilometers in provinces including Guangdong, Hebei, and Hunan. CKI is a leader in the Hong Kong infrastructure materials market, with businesses in cement, concrete, aggregates, and asphalt. The group also owns cement production facilities in Mainland China and limestone quarries in the Philippines.
