AIA Group Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as "AIA" or "the Group") is the largest independently listed life insurance group in the pan-Asian region, operating in 18 markets. These include wholly owned branches and subsidiaries in Mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Vietnam, Brunei, and the Macao Special Administrative Region, as well as a 49% equity interest in a joint venture in India. In addition, AIA holds a 24.99% stake in China Post Life Insurance Company Limited. AIA's business achievements today can be traced back to its origins in Shanghai more than a century ago in 1919. Measured by life insurance premiums, the Group leads its peers across Asia (excluding Japan) and maintains a strong market-leading position in most of its operating markets. As of December 31, 2024, the Group's total assets amounted to US$305 billion. AIA offers a comprehensive suite of products and services, including life insurance, accident and health insurance, and savings plans, designed to meet individual customers' needs for long-term savings and protection. In addition, the Group provides corporate clients with employee benefits, credit insurance, and retirement planning solutions. Through an extensive network of exclusive agents, partners, and employees across Asia, the Group serves more than 43 million individual policyholders and 16 million participants in group insurance schemes. AIA Group Limited is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, under the stock codes "1299" (HKD share) and "81299" (RMB share); its American Depositary Shares (Level 1) are traded over-the-counter under the ticker "AAGIY".
