Hongcheng Environmental Technology is a gold‑mine hazardous waste treatment company based in Shandong Province, China. It specializes in the treatment of gold‑mine hazardous waste and in recovering and extracting economically valuable resources for sale. According to a Frost & Sullivan report, based on 2020 revenue, we ranked second in Shandong Province and third nationwide, capturing approximately 15% and 10% of the respective market shares. In terms of the volume of gold‑mine hazardous waste treated, we also held the top position in both Shandong Province and across China, with an actual processing capacity of about 1.08 million tonnes—accounting for roughly 26% and 18% of the total processed volumes in Shandong and China, respectively, in 2020. We operate two production facilities strategically located in Laizhou City, Shandong Province, which boasts the largest gold reserves among all county-level cities in China. The combined site area of these facilities spans approximately 228,683 square meters. They are dedicated to treating hazardous waste collected from upstream clients and converting it into recycled products for sale to downstream customers. Business Model Upstream clients primarily engage us to provide cyanide tailings treatment services. Cyanide tailings are a type of hazardous waste generated during gold smelting, containing cyanide—a chemical reagent that enables gold to dissolve in water. Cyanide is a toxic substance; ingestion or inhalation of sufficient quantities can be fatal. Gold mining companies maintain rigorous risk management systems to prevent harm or damage associated with cyanide use. After gold has been extracted, mining operations collect cyanide from the leaching solutions for recovery or disposal. Due to technical expertise and cost constraints, gold smelting subsidiaries often contract specialized hazardous waste treatment firms like ours to collect their cyanide tailings, paying corresponding processing fees. During our operations, we effectively detoxify gold‑mine hazardous waste. Additionally, we extract economically valuable resources from this waste, with sulfur concentrate and gold‑bearing sulfur concentrate serving as our primary recovered products. These can be further processed into sulfur and sulfuric acid, which are used in various industrial applications. We typically sell these recycled products to downstream customers, including chemical manufacturers and trading companies.
