China Electric Power is a limited liability company incorporated in Hong Kong under the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance on March 24, 2004, and is a core subsidiary of China Power Investment Corporation (a comprehensive energy group that also owns thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power and renewable energy resources in China). The Company's shares were listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 15, 2004, stock code 2380. In addition to initially only generating and selling coal-fired electricity, through continuous development, the company's business has expanded into various categories such as hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic power generation, natural gas power generation, environmentally friendly power generation, energy storage, green power transportation, and integrated energy services. Various business segments have continued to grow as the Group continues to expand.
