Airline stocks led the gains. As of press time, China Eastern Airlines (00670) rose 5.13% to HKD 4.3; Air China (00753) increased by 4.8% to HKD 5.24; China Southern Airlines (01055) climbed 3.85% to HKD 4.32; and Cathay Pacific Airways (00293) advanced 3.56% to HKD 12.52.

Morgan Stanley raises target price for BOC Aviation (02588.HK) to HKD 92.7, revising upward earnings forecasts for this and next year.
Morgan Stanley issued a research report updating the risk-return profile of BOC Aviation (02588.HK). The target price was raised by 9.6%, from HKD 84.6 to HKD 92.7, with an "Overweight" rating. Meanwhile, earnings per share (EPS) forecasts for this year and next were increased by 5.3% and 9.8%, respectively, primarily due to better-than-expected performance in the second half of 2025. The firm also introduced a 2028 EPS forecast of USD 1.59. The report notes that aircraft manufacturers are continuing to ramp up production, with no current disruptions to deliveries caused by Middle Eastern conflicts. The upward revision in the target price mainly reflects higher EPS forecasts for 2027 and improved earnings visibility for the group.
