Qingdao Port opened in 1892 and is one of the largest comprehensive ports in the world. It occupies a central position in the Northeast Asian port circle and is an important international trade hub in the Western Pacific. The Company was founded on November 15, 2013, listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 6, 2014, and listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on January 21, 2019. The Group is the main operator of Qingdao Port. It operates and manages five major port areas, including Qingdao Qianwan Port Area, Huangdao Oil Port Area, Dongjiakou Port Area, Dagang Port Area, and Weihai Port Area. It mainly provides containers, metal ore, coal, crude oil and other cargo handling and supporting services, logistics and port value-added services, port supporting services and other services. As of December 31, 2023, the Group operated 112 berths, an increase of 4 berths over the same period last year, including 70 dedicated berths for handling single types of goods and 42 general-purpose berths for handling metal ore, coal and other general cargo. With natural water depth advantages and industry-leading facilities, equipment, services and management, the Group is able to dock the world's largest container ships, iron ore carriers and oil tankers. The Group has always led the world in handling efficiency. The fully automated container terminal set a world record for an average stand-alone operation efficiency of 60.2 TEU/hour for a bridge crane, setting a new world record for handling efficiency for the tenth time.
