The company was founded in 1961 and was originally a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Xinxing Petroleum Company. It was restructured as Dezhou United Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. on June 30, 2004, and renamed Dezhou United Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd. on June 9, 2017.
