PayPay to Enable Payment Services in Taiwan Starting from the End of April.
PayPay, a leading smartphone payment provider, reported on the 14th that Japanese users will be able to use its payment service in Taiwan starting from the end of April. If identity verification is completed within Japan, users will reportedly be able to make payments at over 400,000 locations, including convenience stores and restaurants. Payments can be made at places displaying the logo for Taiwan's financial transaction QR code standard, 'TWQR.' The paid amount can be instantly confirmed in Japanese yen.

The new system will apply to shareholder benefits starting from the record date of September 30, 2026, and will be granted annually to shareholders listed in the shareholder registry as of the end of September.
