Kwok Sze Chi, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Stock Analysts Association, stated that the broader market exhibited renewed volatility yesterday (the 7th). The Hang Seng Index initially edged up by 2 points to 25,652 in the morning session before further climbing slightly to 25,664, where it faced resistance. Due to cautious buying sentiment and persistent fragmented selling pressure, the broader market began to fluctuate downward. The Hang Seng Index only stabilized after breaking below the 25,362 level, by which point the market had retraced sharply by 288 points. Fortunately, support buying gradually emerged at lower levels, prompting a rebound that pushed the Hang Seng Index back above the 25,400 mark. However, amid thin trading activity, the market experienced volatility without meaningful gains.
