According to the official WeChat account of Shanghai Airport Group, during the “May 1st” holiday, passenger traffic at Shanghai Airport exceeded 1.7 million, an increase of 37% over the previous year. According to Express statistics, during the “May 1st” holiday period, Shanghai's Pudong and Hongqiao guaranteed 11,000 flights, an increase of 28% over the previous year; 1.703 million inbound and outbound passengers were guaranteed, with an average daily passenger traffic of 341,000, an increase of 37% over the previous year. On May 5, the number of daily flights and passenger traffic at Shanghai Airport reached 2,307 flights and 374,000 passengers respectively, all of which set the highest record for the “May 1st” holiday in history.
