Description
The company was founded in 1987 at the forefront of China's reform and opening up - Shenzhen Shekou. It was the first joint stock commercial bank in China wholly owned by a corporate corporation, and the country's first pilot bank to promote banking reform from outside the system. In the 35 years since its establishment, China Merchants Bank has been listed in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
