Gelonghui, December 8 — CMB International published a research report predicting that both retail and wholesale sales of passenger vehicles in China will reach new highs in 2025. Looking ahead to 2026, the firm expects that despite subsidy cuts, retail sales of passenger vehicles in China will remain largely stable, while wholesale sales will increase by 2.9% year-over-year. Among these, retail sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) are projected to grow by 15.5% year-over-year, reaching 14.93 million units, with a market share of 61.8%, mainly driven by the launch of numerous new models.
