The company was founded in 1995 and is an important state-owned enterprise directly managed by the central government. It was officially converted into a state-owned capital investment company in June 2022. In 2022, the Group achieved total revenue of 211.4 billion yuan and total profit of 23.3 billion yuan. It was awarded A grade in the business performance assessment of the State Council's State-owned Assets Administration Commission for 18 consecutive years, and was an outstanding enterprise for six consecutive terms. The company's business scope mainly includes investment in construction, operation and management of energy projects focusing on electricity production; development and operation of new energy projects, high-tech and environmental protection industries; and development and operation of power supporting products, information and consulting services. Among them, the power generation business is the company's core business, accounting for more than 95% of the company's total revenue.
