The company was founded in the 10th year of Ming Chongzhen (1637). Formerly known as “Ye Kaitai”, it enjoyed the reputation of “Three Masters of the Early Qing Dynasty” and “China's Big Four Pharmaceutical Names” before liberation. In 1953, Ye Kaitai Pharmaceutical was partially transformed into “Wuhan Jianmin Pharmaceutical Factory” and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2004 (A share code 600976).
