Gelonghui, July 2 | A-share markets followed the overnight declines in U.S. semiconductor, storage, and computer sectors, with major indices plunging collectively. As of the market close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 2.03% to 4,028.9 points, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 3.85%, the ChiNext Price Index tumbled 5.71%, and the STAR 50 Index slumped 7.7%. Total market turnover amounted to RMB 3.47 trillion, down RMB 208.9 billion from the previous trading day, with more than 3,100 stocks declining.
