Juki: Corrected Financial Report - 110th Term (2024/01/01-2024/12/31)
<Today's materials and key stocks> The United States and Vietnam may have reached an agreement on tariff negotiations - attention is focused on apparel-related sectors and others.
President Trump announced that an agreement has been reached with Vietnam regarding tariff negotiations. The tariff rate on Vietnamese products set by the "reciprocal tariff" introduced in April and temporarily suspended was 46%, but this will be halved to 20%. On the other hand, products deemed to be circumventing exports from other countries will be subject to a 40% tariff. Vietnam claims it will eliminate tariffs on imports from the United States. Vietnam has many production bases for apparel brands, and the agreement on tariff negotiations alleviates uncertainties regarding investment in sewing and textile machinery.
