BOCOM International: Broadcom (AVGO.US) slightly beats expectations in the first fiscal quarter, raises profit forecast.
BOCOM International issued a report stating that Broadcom (AVGO.US) slightly exceeded expectations in its first fiscal quarter results, and its second-quarter guidance surpassed market expectations. Management guided second-quarter revenue of $22 billion, higher than the bank's and market expectations of $20 billion, including $10.7 billion in AI semiconductor revenue, with an EBITDA margin guidance of 68%. Additionally, Broadcom’s AI growth is expected to last at least until 2028, while the impact of AI on VMware may be limited. Looking ahead three years, management mentioned that AI chip revenue alone could far exceed $100 billion by 2027. Management highlighted six key clients, indicating significant contributions this year and next.
