General Motors (GM.US) plans to expand the production of gas-powered SUVs and trucks in Michigan.
General Motors (GM.US) announced on Tuesday that it will move the production of its gasoline-powered SUV model, the Cadillac Escalade, to an assembly plant in Michigan and increase the production of pickup trucks at that location. The company stated that it will begin producing the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra light-duty pickups at the plant in early 2027 to meet the ongoing strong customer demand.
