The company combines the legendary design and engineering expertise of Henrik Fisker, the iconic BMW Z8 sports car and the visionary behind the famous Aston Martin DB9 and V8Vantage, and develops high-quality electric cars with strong emotional appeal through the overall Fisk experience to attract consumers' senses. At the heart of the company's business model is Fisker flexible platform Independent Design ("FF-PAD"), a proprietary process that allows vehicle development and design to adapt to any given electric vehicle ("EV") platform of a given market segment size. The focus of the process is to select industry-leading vehicle specifications and adjust the design to meet the key difficulties of electric vehicle platforms and outsourced manufacturing provided by third parties to reduce development costs and time to market. The company was originally incorporated in Delaware on October 13, 2017 as a special purpose acquisition company for mergers, equity transactions, asset acquisitions, stock purchases, restructuring or similar business combinations. On October 30th, 2020, the company changed its name to Fisker Inc.
