The Nikkei Stock Average fell by 68 yen 83 sen from the previous day to 50,842.93 in the afternoon session on the 11th, reversing earlier gains. Meanwhile, the TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) continued its upward trend, rising by 4.16 points to 3,321.58. In early trading, buying initially took the lead following gains in U.S. stocks on the 10th, with the Nikkei briefly rising more than 500 yen. However, after the initial wave of buying subsided, SoftBank Group, which was scheduled to release earnings today, pared its gains, and companies such as Fujikura and Advantest also saw limited movement.
