Air taxi manufacturer Archer Aviation spends $21 million to acquire Lilium patents.
Gelonghui, October 16th | Archer Aviation, a U.S.-based air taxi manufacturer, announced the acquisition of approximately 300 advanced air mobility (AAM) technology patents from its competitor Lilium for €18 million (approximately $21 million), further expanding its proprietary technology portfolio to over 1,000 patents. Lilium's patents cover core technologies such as high-voltage electrical systems, battery management, advanced aircraft design, flight control systems, electric engines, propellers, and ducted fans. Archer stated that these technologies will help drive advancements in the light sport aircraft and regional air mobility sectors.
