Israel plans to amend legislation to allow Uber and Lyft to operate private car passenger services.
Gelonghui January 19 | According to Reuters, the Israeli Legislative Ministerial Committee has approved a draft bill aimed at paving the way for ride-hailing platforms like Uber and Lyft to enter the country’s market. The main objective of this reform is to break the existing market deadlock by introducing private car-hailing services, thereby increasing market competition and reducing transportation costs for the public. The proposal has received full support from Israel's Ministry of Transportation and is currently awaiting final approval from the parliament.
