GLONGHUI, May 14 | Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell sued Uber and Lyft on Monday, accusing the ride-sharing companies that misclassified thousands of drivers in the state as independent contractors to avoid treating them as more costly employees. He asked the judge to determine that Uber and Lyft drivers are employees under state law and are therefore entitled to benefits such as minimum wage, overtime pay, and sick leave.
