The latest research report released by Atlantic Securities said it upgraded McDonald's Corp's rating to "outperform the market" from "neutral" and set a target price of $278, Zhitong Financial APP learned. Edward Lewis, an analyst at the bank, believes that McDonald's Corp is both a defensive value investment stock and a leader in the global fast food industry. McDonald's Corp also increased market share and even improved profit margins during the economic downturn. "as global consumption weakens, companies with flexible business models and rich experience in dealing with this challenge period (McDonald's Corp) will leave," Lewis said.
