China has placed 20 Japanese entities, including Subaru (7270.JP), on a watchlist.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced that it will add 20 Japanese entities, including Subaru Corporation (7270.JP), which were unable to verify the end-users and end-uses of dual-use items, to a watchlist. Exporters providing these entities with dual-use items are not allowed to apply for general licenses or obtain export permits through registration and information filing; when applying for individual licenses, they must submit a risk assessment report on the entities included in the watchlist and provide a written commitment that the dual-use items will not be used for any purposes contributing to enhancing Japan's military capabilities. The license review period is not subject to the time limits specified in Article 17, Paragraph 1 of the 'Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Export Control of Dual-Use Items.'
