The US government is in talks with carmakers to promise that at least 40 per cent of cars sold in the US will be electric by 2030, according to people familiar with the matter. These companies say that achieving this goal will require the government to help promote the use of electric vehicles. Nicola founder released after refusing to admit fraud charges after paying $100 million in bail
