Origin Materials Shareholders Approve Complete Corporate Liquidation Plan
U.S. Stocks Move | Origin Materials Falls 9% in Pre-Market Trading After Announcing Voluntary Delisting from Nasdaq
Gelonghui, June 11 | Origin Materials fell 9% in pre-market trading to $1.11 per share, primarily due to the company’s explicit announcement of its plan to voluntarily delist from Nasdaq, triggering panic selling in the market. According to a post-market update released on June 9, Origin Materials’ board of directors has approved the voluntary delisting of its shares from the Nasdaq Capital Market and intends to deregister its stock with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company’s interim CEO stated clearly: “Given the substantial legal, auditing, and other costs associated with being a public company, voluntarily delisting at this stage will help maximize shareholder value.”
