More than 200 companies around the world have joined Amazon.Com Inc's climate commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
Amazon.Com Inc said on Monday that so far more than 200 companies had signed climate commitments launched with Global Optimism two years ago to achieve net zero emissions in their operations by 2040, 10 years ahead of the targets set by the Paris climate agreement. The more than 200 companies are located in 21 countries, spanning 26 industries, with annual global revenue of more than $1.8 trillion and more than 7 million employees. Amazon.Com Inc CEO Andy Andy Jassy said in a press release: "solving this challenge cannot be accomplished by one company."
