Did Diverging Earnings Forecasts and Zacks Rank Just Shift Texas Instruments' (TXN) Investment Narrative?
Intel, AMD, and Texas Instruments are accused of turning a blind eye to their chips being used in Russian-made weapons.
Lawyers representing dozens of Ukrainian civilians have filed a lawsuit in a Texas court against semiconductor companies such as Intel (INTC.US), AMD (AMD.US), and Texas Instruments (TXN.US). The lawsuit accuses these companies of displaying "willful blindness" when their export-controlled chips were resold to Russia by third parties in violation of U.S. sanctions, where they were used in drones and missiles. One of the lawyers representing the plaintiffs stated that these companies were aware that their chip technology was flowing into Russia. Intel issued a statement clarifying that it "does not conduct business in Russia and immediately ceased shipments to customers in Russia and Belarus following the outbreak of the war."
