Us SEC: is stepping up its investigation into the "gamification" of online brokerage transactions
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said on Friday that it was stepping up its research into the "gamification" and trading-encouraging functions of online brokerage trading software, which are used by online brokerages and investment advisers to stimulate retail investors to trade more stocks and other securities. MSCI CEO: China's stock market is expected to shake off regulatory worries and hit a new high
Henry Fernandez, chairman and CEO of MSCI, one of the world's largest index providers, believes the Chinese stock market may be able to shake off recent regulatory concerns and hit an all-time high again. Walmart Inc, the largest retailer in the United States, announced on Tuesday that it will launch a delivery service called "GoLocal" to help other retailers deliver goods to consumers. This is the company's latest move to expand its non-retail business. Walmart Inc said the service will be operational by the end of this year, and distribution methods will include new technologies, such as self-driving cars and drones. The company said it would deliver the goods at a competitive price within two hours.
Record increase in South Korean household debt supports the view that the central bank will raise interest rates as early as this week
South Korea's rising household debt hit a new record last quarter, supporting the idea that the central bank will raise interest rates as early as this week to curb the debt bubble. Total household credit surged 10.3% year-on-year to 1806 trillion won ($1.54 trillion), the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday. The increase of 169 trillion won was the biggest since data were available in 2003. Credit grew by 41.2 trillion won in the second quarter from the previous quarter, the largest month-on-month increase in the same period. The ballooning debt confirms the concern of the Bank of Korea that financial imbalances are under way after the economy recovers from the epidemic.
